hi, I’m Maggie!

🐞 I first caught the full blown travel bug after studying abroad in the UK… and it changed the way I saw the world. Ever since then, I’ve loved exploring new places, wandering through unfamiliar streets, visiting iconic spots, and bringing home pieces that feel like memories.

But my travel story hasn’t always been glamorous. I didn’t grow up taking vacations or having the means to travel, so when I finally got the chance to do it, I did it any way I could. I’ve taken the longest layovers to save money on flights, eaten only the cheapest food on the menu, walked to save a couple euros on bus tickets, and stayed in hostels just to make the trip happen. It taught me that travel was about the experience, not the luxury, and that some of the best stories can come from secondhand pieces, shared spaces, and the humbler parts of the journey.

I moved to NYC amidst Covid and that’s where my love for fashion, vintage boutiques, and novelty pieces blossomed. I kept an eye out for anything that made me daydream where I’d wear it next… from a MetroCard-shaped coin purse to an old Fendi bag I could clean up, fix up, and make cute again. Being around so much style and excitement in Manhattan inspired me to start my own shop, and with that little spark… Mag’s Bags Boutique officially opened in 2022!

Following Covid, I relocated to the mountains and life slowed down a lot. It taught me to appreciate things money can’t buy like a breath of fresh air, cozy mornings, and cotton-candy sunsets. At the same time, Mag’s Bags Boutique kept growing from my tiny cabin. I was putting my heart into finding new pieces, studying the details, learning how to care for them, and sending orders to people around the world who were just as excited about them as I was. Even when I was staying in one place, it felt like parts of my collection were still traveling and being loved all over again.

Building my small business piece by piece has been incredible in ways I never expected. Today, I feel so grateful and humbled that I get to travel with more comfort and a lot more confidence than I used to. I know what it feels like to save up for something truly special, and that little rush when you finally get it. And I know how much the right bag, outfit, or accessory can genuinely lift spirits and change the way we carry ourselves.

That’s why it means SO MUCH to bring together the things that inspire me most: travel, fashion, and collecting special finds along the way. Each piece I find feels like part of the adventure, and I love knowing it can continue on into someone else’s closet, travels, and favorite moments still to come.

It’s a blessing to enjoy the finer things in life and still remember how much the simple things matter. And I hope you find something here that feels a little meant for you too… even if it’s just inspo, a new favorite, or a teeny reminder to treat yourself when you can.
